They told me to come up with a silly stinking rhyme.

But, I ain’t got no time.

So if you give me a dime,

I will make you some killer rib n’ prime.

They say that I have committed a crime.

But, that is a whole bunch of slime.

Here in Mathison’s class,

We are reading to get a food pass.

Somebody just passed the gas.

But, we ain’t fishing for no bass. (Yo)

I’m a poet and I don’t really know it.

Nor do I ever want to show it.

Because I know I won’t be able to throw it.

When they say that it is time to blow it.

But I will be able to sow it.

But can’t really grow it.

I’m a poet and I don’t really know it.

I am sitting here trying to think of something to read.

I have to choose between a good or bad deed.

The kid sitting in front of me is named George Mead.

I wonder if I should give him a lesson on greed.

Or, if I should help him plant a seed.

It is my turn up at the chair.

But, it is more than I could ever bear.

The kid in front of me is eating a pear.

But, I really couldn’t care.

I’m a poet and I don’t really know it.

Nor do I ever want to show it.

Because I know I won’t be able to throw it.

When they say that it is time to blow it.

But I will be able to sow it.

But, can’t really grow it.

I’m a poet and I don’t really know it.

My palms started to sweat.

It was too late to regret.

This wasn’t a boring subject.

So, I wasn’t going to object.

The whole world in front of me starts turning.

My head was churning.

It was like the whole room was burning.

I start to speak.

I was too scared to even take a peak.

But a wise man once told me I was gonna need to seek.

If ever I was going to climb the highest peak.

I was going to need to help the poor and the meek.

Just then the door started to creak.
In came a guy who looked very bleak.
He started talkin loud so, I said “What the freak!”

“I’m trying to read here!
So if you want, go shoot a deer.
Or go act silly in front of a mirror.
But when it breaks, don’t come running to me in fear.
Or I will whoop your rear!”

So out he ran.
He was saying “O’h man!”
I’ll bet you he drove off in a red van.
And, that his name was Dan.
Also, that he liked tuna fish right out of the can.

I’m a poet and I don’t really know it.
Nor, do I ever want to show it.
Cause I know I won’t be able to throw it.
When they say that it is time to blow it.
But I will be able to sow it.
But can’t really grow it.
I’m a poet and I don’t really know it.

So I continued reading my writing.
They say that there has been a UFO sighting.
But I don’t really believe them sense,
then there would be a lot of fighting.
All I know is there has been a lot of lightning.
So much that it has gotten mighty frightening.
On I went to tell of distant lands.
A place where there were many rock bands.
Were there were a lot of styles and brands.

I’m a poet and I don’t really know it.
Nor, do I ever want to show it.
Cause I know I won’t be able to throw it.
When they say it is time to blow it.
But I will be able to sow it.
But, can’t really grow it.
I’m a poet and I don’t really know it.

So on I went.
I told a story of a guy whose name was Kent.
When he was a boy, he had wanted to live in a tent.
But his mom said his dreams were bent.
She said that is wasn’t meant.
So when he got older,
He went off and became a soldier.
When he got out, he got a job as a plastic molder.

He went on to get a different job.
He was an architect with a man named Bob.
Then, one day he decided to start a mob.
They put him in jail so, he began to sob.

After a few weeks he got out of jail.
So, he decided to hike the Appalachian Trail.
But, now he tells the tale
Of when he was a kid, he would go out for a sail.
Then, always wait by the door for the mail.

Now he is gone.
His memories go on and on.
Now I am about done.
Just a few more lines just for fun.

I’m a poet and I don’t really know it.
Nor do I ever want to show it.
Cause I know I won’t be able to throw it.
When they say that it is time to blow it.
But I will be able to sow it.
But, can’t really grow it.
So you can go with the flow of it.
If you think you really know it.
Cause I’m a poet and I don’t really know it.

It is now time for me to end.
I hope you will consider being my friend.
If you need it, I will give you a hand of lend.

So this is good night.
Sleep tight, don’t ever let the bed bugs bite.
If they do, don’t come running to me in fright.
Or I will tell you to stay out of my sight.
Cause I’m a poet and I don’t really know it!
(Peace Out!)
