Cheater
Silently, happily
She goes where he is
Where he's supposed to be
Searching, frantically
The heart starts beating
Harder and harder
While her love is cheating
Leaving farther and farther
And she always says her prayers
Before she gets into bed
And she always trusts her heart
But now it's feelin' dead.
Tearfully, hopefully
She goes back to his house
Where he might have gone
Knocking, doubtfully
Her head starts pounding
Faster and faster
It's sort of bleak sounding
When a girl walks past her and past her.
And she always says her prayers
Before she gets into bed
And she always trusts her heart
Though now, it's defn'ly dead.
Shouting, cursing
he's realising what he's done
Now she's standing in front
Staring, glaring
Her life is crumbling
Hurting, oh, hurting
oh oh oh she can't forgive this
oh oh oh since it was her best friend
Who'd been flirting.
And she always says her prayers
Before she gets into bed
And she always trusts her heart
But now, it seems to be lead.
Running, racing
She has got to get away
From broken promises
No turning, facing
