Guilty
Open my eyes to a new day
And it fades to grey
Memories from last night
I tried to take the pain away
Open my arms to the sunlight
And it reaches for me
Wonder if it can touch me
Or if it’s just part of the dream
Open your eyes
Open your arms
Open your heart
Open your eyes
Open your eyes
Open my heart to a new day
But the shade comes through
Searching for a source of light
In the depth of a cloudy midnight
Open my heart to the darkness
Where the light can’t see
Where is the hope of future
Of a lost soul such as me?
Open your heart
Open your eyes
Open your arms
Open your eyes
Open your eyes
Open my eyes to a new day
And the light pours in
Breeze comes in softly
Like the blood searching my skin
Open my eyes to a new day
And my heart is torn
Skin on my arms is broken
And I’m lost more than before
Open my heart to the new day
And the shade is here
I can’t keep my eyes open any longer
Open your eyes
Open your arms
Open your heart
Even if it’s dark
Open your eyes
Open your arms
Open your heart
Even if it’s gray
If it’s shade
If it’s dark
Open your eyes
Open your eyes
Open your eyes
Open your eyes

The title basically explains everything. This piece is written about a morning guilt trip as one remembers what has happened the night before, and how the scaling of the guilt trip has escalated to control the way the person lives when they remember their past.
I know it's not that great (this is the exact improvised lyric)but it helped me express what I was feeling so it really helped :) I hope you enjoy it :)
