Love's Cliff
Upon the ledge, I crept to the edge,
Of Love’s Cliff with no appall.
I closed my eyes, with no surprise,
I was not afraid to fall.
Arms open wide, I decided,
It’s time to take a chance.
Without fret, and much regret,
I took a leap for romance.
Falling fast, I thought at last,
I was your one true.
But you weren’t ready, your heart unsteady,
Love’s sun had tainted my view.
With love so bright, I thought it right,
Turns out I could not see.
Heart broken, your love unspoken,
I found you could not catch me.
