A Stab To My Heart
A stab to my heart,
A puncture to my lungs,
Your words poison my mind,
Like a snake’s venomous tongue.
Then they stay and they rot,
They fester for days,
While the world moves on
I stay in your hateful haze.
I try to rid myself
Of the witchcraft inside,
But there’s no crevice in my brain
In which my thoughts can hide.
Oh, villainous creature!
Be gentle, and remove your dagger
From the hole inside my soul.
After all, you are my mother.
