Too Many Days
I lost my one friend to a bullet
He was forced to the ground on Sunday
I've lost all the urge to live
I've been fighting for too many days
My mama told me she has cancer
Yet I feel so good today
Although they say it gets easy
I've been fighting for too many days
My faith is at the breaking
But to go back is so far away
I don't care to read the bible
If fiction is in its name
All my memories seem like a second
Yet it feels like a year a day
I don't care to know the date
I've been fighting for too many days
I'm still waiting for the death train
It should be coming soon from any way
I don't care about any direction
I've been fighting for too many days
My hands stop as I write the unspoken ode for her
But my fingers continue to play
I can't shed a single tear
For I'm done fighting for the day
