I can't let this song go unsung,
No, not when these strings have already been strung.
They're more than just words on paper,
And far less cheerful than a caper.
These words impact people,
And I plan on standing on top of it's steeple.
I want my voice to be heard.
Every syllable; every word.
Behind this pen is a person living and breathing,
And I'm tired off all the sheathing.
So I'll sing you this song tonight,
With the hope that maybe one of you will persevere to face new heights.
