Black Crow
I'm sorry to say,
She threw her life away.
Can't go back for it now,
Not when her head's in the clouds,
So she'll be forced to go on without it;
To hope that she can climb out of this pit.
But we know that she can't.
She gave up on hope so long ago,
Said there was too much to woe,
Too little to hold.
She said life can only go so far,
So she got into her car,
Turned the engine on,
Said goodbye to the future dawn,
Closed her eyes tightly shut,
Felt the air thinly cut.
No goodbyes were given,
And no reasons for what had driven,
Her to throw it all away.
To let her life decay.
She's in the clouds though,
And I would question why.
No tears left to cry,
So I'll sit and watch the circling crow,
Left and right over her grave,
Maybe trying to find a way to pave,
A way to come back to me.
Or to be set free.
