Clouded Sky
I’m laying in a field of clovers,
All alone.
I’m watching as the clouds pass by.
I feel so peaceful and serene.
I’m happy.
I feel like I am floating.
Flower petals fall to the ground
One by one.
He loves me, he loves me not.
The last petal falls on my chest,
And I know, oh I know
He loves me back.
So I look up at the perfect sky.
And I smile,
Memorizing all I see.
I’m savoring this one moment,
Remembering
The sparks that zip through my veins.
Flower petals fall to the ground
One by one.
He loves me, he loves me not.
The last petal falls on my chest,
And I know, oh I know
He loves me back.
But one by one, the days pass slow,
Long and lonely.
The skies are clouded over.
Then one day, I venture out again.
Hope in my heart,
And a flower in my hand.
As I lay down on the soft green field,
I look up,
To see the clouds have moved on.
The last petal falls on my chest
And I know, oh I know
He loved me back.

This song was inspired by a little fling I had with a boy a while back. But on a deeper level, this song is about change. Like the clouds in the sky, which are always moving, our lives are always changing.
On a little side note, though, this is actually the first song I've been able to finish, as far as the musical part goes :)
