"She"
She
Verse 1: She was innocent,
When he first saw her.
She was helpless,
When he touched her.
Her mother said,
“It’s going to be alright.”
She wasn’t to say a word,
Or try to fight.
Chorus: Every time she thought to say it,
Every time she tried to hide,
He would win every time.
Verse 2: They came at dark,
And would vanish before dawn,
Leaving her with scars and bruises,
And all her love would be gone.
The rough walls,
And the bloody sheets,
On the damp ground,
She lied, scattered into bits.
Chorus: Every time she ran from his sight,
Every time she sought to end her life,
He would win every time.
Verse 3: She was wronged.
She was raped.
She was tortured,
In the name of fate.
What would she say?
If she could write.
Would she try?
If she had a chance to fight.
If she finds a life,
How would she feel?
If she finds true love,
Would she heal?
