Tough Love
We used to be enemies
Back when we were in
Fourth grade
Now you've worked your way up
To being rivals
In sixth grade
We used to laugh and play
Chase each other 'round
The playground
But now something inside you changed
Your being nice to me
All around
Pre-chorus
I've known you
Long enough
To know this isn't you
It ain't no tough love
Chorus
Tell me tell me why
Tell me tell me why
Why you can't comprehend
From the start to the end
You gotta give yourself a shove
'Cause it ain't no tough love
When you were being nice to me
I realized something more
With you and me
We could actually make this work
Don't tell nobody
Why can't you see
Pre-chorus
Chorus
We laugh and play
You've worked your way
Up to an acquaintance
But no maintenance
And I've known you now
For four years now
And all we do is chat
I wanna be more than that
Chorus x2
No tough love

This song was made because of my ex-enemy (who is now one of my best friends because of this situation). She liked this guy but would always hurt him. I liked the same guy and decided to date him. Then I made this song right before he broke up with me.
