Trust Me
Verse 1:
We met in science class,
I was sure we would be the best of friends,
Used to talk about all the guys we had eyes for,
And how they didn't love us back,
Haha,
I told you everything,
How I couldn't sing,
Most embarrassing thing,
Trust me,
When a 6th grader has a friend,
It’s the best thing in this world,
Let alone the gossip,
We all needed someone to ship our anger to,
All the guys in the grade were jerks.
Verse 2:
Trust me,
Get close to a demon and you are d-e-a-d-d-d-d,
So we are walking bones,
We stick together,
Friends over anger,
That was until you gave me a fake phone number,
Told me to call you whenever I needed you.
Verse 3:
Trust me,
Now that I look back,
You were the one pointing out my mistakes,
“Ever heard of eyeliner?”
Guess not,
Because baby girl you look like you are about to rot,
Gotta let your hair down,
Down,
Ship those boots around,
Round,
Change your look,
Want those boys you gotta keep walking,
Told me I was ugly everyday,
Stupid way of making you feel safe,
Guess I was just a deer in the headlights,
If I could not see your inner valley girl with a whole lotta nerve,
Trust me little girl,
I know your ideas are outta a this world.
Verse 4:
Trust me,
Get close to a demon and you are d-e-a-a-d-d-d-d-d-d-d
d-e-a-d-d,
Watch, watch, watch out for the dead,
Now you moving on,
On,
Heading first,
You’re so strong,
Feel like a hero,
Till I’m right back to zero,
There she stands,
With every guy strapped to her hand,
She goes through 3 a week,
They are like tissues,
You can’t treat a man the way you did your so called best friend,
Well I guess reputations are better than the rest,
But now I’m not a broken down no more,
I have a nice house,
Soon to be spouse,
The best of friends,
And a dog named George.
So watch me begin,
My life to the century,
Do not know how to start my apology,
Sorry for being,
Plain old me,
But trust me,
It’s so easy.
