I found Myself
From a young age, you molded my heart
You built me up
Then you broke me apart
Six years old, how was I supposed to know
My life would change
My heart would break
Little girl, lost in this world
Not knowing how someone could be so cruel
She thought it was her
So she pushed herself down
The walls she built were mostly against herself
In the dead of night
You can still hear her cry
Even though you are gone
Scars were left behind
It took some time
To get her mind stable
To realize it wasn’t her fault
To love herself again
She knows now, you sunk down to her level
She was mad, she lost what she didn’t have yet
Little girl, lost in this world
I found myself, when I left her behind
I know now, it wasn’t my fault
I finally forgive myself
I’m not that little girl anymore
I’m not lost not anymore
I found myself, with that little girl’s help
I wrote this based on my own life.
