Dear You
Backstabbed
Friends say things,
That they never mean.
“Oh, I trust you,”
Or
“You can always talk to me.”
Lies.
Bold white lies that add up.
That add up to what is my life.
Falling for these lies and being hurt when it doesn’t go my way.
I know, it’s my fault.
I know you talk behind my back,
I know that I don’t trust you anymore,
I don't trust your dirty looks in the hallways.
I never thought I would be saying this,
But I hope I never see you again.
You brought me too much pain,
You don’t even know it.
In your eyes,
You are perfect.
In everyone’s eyes,
I’m the villain of your fairy-tale story.

The inspiration for this peice is a friend that I used to have. We got into this fight and now we don't really talk now. This is something I wrote and than contiuned to change things until this poem was as close to perfect as I could get. I hope the people will understand that freindship isn't something that you can just throw away, and if it is than you two were never true friends.
