Depression
He used to be happy,
Then his mood dropped.
Lost all his friends,
all communication stopped.
He's starving himself,
eating less and less.
Isn't it obvious?
He's clearly depressed.
No one has bothered
to ask if he's okay.
They all ran him in the dirt,
and ruin his day.
He's cutting himself.
He's getting worse.
Soon he'll be in casket,
in the back of a hearse.
Maybe if he didn't wear so much black,
He'd have all his friends back.
May if the doctor gave him more meds,
He'd be right in the head.
Maybe if you didn't treat him bad,
He wouldn't be so sad...
BUT THIS IS IT
He's had enough..
He slit his wrist,
He's losing too much blood.
(FLATLINE SOUND EFFECT)
Doctor couldn't bring him back,
Whose life did his death impact?
She used to be popular.
Now she sits alone.
She used to be a girl,
every one would've known.
Have you heard the rumor?
Yeah, she's gay.
And now her secret
haunts her all day.
She's choking down more pills,
Her world starts to spin,
Her pulse is fading,
But nobody checked in.
Did you ever ask her,
If she was doing fine?
Soon she'll be in
The next funeral line.
Maybe if she wasn't gay,
All her friends would have stayed.
May if the doctor gave her more meds,
She'd be right in the head.
Maybe if you didn't treat her bad,
She wouldn't be so sad...
BUT THIS IS IT
She's had enough..
She chokes down the pills,
She's cold to the touch.
(FLATLINE SOUND EFFECT)
Doctor couldn't bring her back,
Whose life did her death impact?
What, do you think, (Is he okay..?)
depression isn't real? (Hey dude, how's your day?)
What, do you think (She's all by herself..)
that scars will heal? (Is there anything I can do to help?)
NEWS FLASH
You bullied her, (Please, stop!)
And you bullied him. (Look at her cry!)
And now they both (Please, quit!)
Won't be seen again. (I want to die..)
Depression hurts,
but can be healed.
Start by asking people
How they feel.
Let people live their life,
They aren't hurting you.
No more bullying...
WOULDN'T IT BE NICE
Maybe if they weren't out and down,
their friends would've stuck around.
Maybe if the doctor gave them meds,
They would be right in the head.
Maybe if your words didn't hurt,
They wouldn't be six feet in the dirt.
Maybe treating people right,
Might save a life.
WOULDN'T IT BE NICE
