When You Put the World in Your Hands
As I tiptoed through the Valley of Happiness,
I stumbled on the meadow of hope.
I turned my hope on high,
And I saw success of the world through my eyes.
I climbed to the top of tomorrow,
Just to see yesterday's dreams.
The shape of tomorrow fits in,
The shape of yesterday is gone.
When you put the world in your hands,
You never know what you might find.
When you put the world in your hands,
Beauty you might find.
As the leaves open without a sound,
The grieving of nature is loud and clear.
Mother Nature’s tender tones,
Met with the harshness of man.
The world shone through in bright pink,
And you stood out like yellow and orange.
I told you to take my hand to the present,
And we just repeated the past.
When you put the world in your hands,
You never know what you might find.
When you put the world in your hands,
Beauty you might find.
