Real Me
“You're jealous of me.
it's easy to see.
that look in your eyes
it gets me past your lies.
But how jealous would you really be
if the real me is what you see?
i’m scared and i’m hopeless.
I’m down right boneless.
My hearts is broken,
most of me unspoken.
My hands are cold.
My once gold heart was sold.
My patience is worn thin
Because of the fight I cannot win
But still I fight this invisible battle.
to break free from an invisible shackle.
And all the terrible while
I still can manage a smile
I wear this heavy mask
And I really must ask
how jealous would you really be.
If I was actually me?”
