Extra Credit
Even I can tell, indeed when it rains
I of all people can feel a small shift
Like the shaking of tracks on which the trains
Do roll, lies a god's special gift
To man and so it changed the power
I can feel my control as it slips
In this moment is in fact quite sour
As the droplets cascade down your soft lips
Clouds never allowing a ray of sun
To the unknowing it is refreshing
Rejuvenating, its second to none
Only now its possible a feeling
A positive feeling of happiness
And calming a feeling of mellowness

I originally wrote a poem following this rhyme scheme two years ago, but my brit. lit. teacher offered extra credit to someone who would write a sonnet, so I revised and added a lot of words so it would be in iambic pentameter.
I will add the original at a later date.
