Drowning In Your Eyes
You’re staring at the ceiling
It’s like you can see thru it to the sky
It’s almost like I’m dreaming
I will be ready if this was my time to die
But I left you there, all alone
I’m singing our song on my own
Cause I miss the way you sit in your throne
My tears are falling while waiting behind the phone
Those eyes are filled with childish spark
I want you by my side every time I cry
I left and everything’s now stark
I wish we didn’t ever have to say goodbye
I’m drowning in your eyes, in your heart, in this piece of art
death is the only thing that could do us apart

I wrote this poem to a beloved friend. I don't know if this was friendship or love. But now we're far apart.
