I Am Me and I Am Free
Is there a way I can just not remember?
He is a dark shade,
All thoughts roll back to September,
Wishing to the brightest star that the memories would fade.
Learning the memories would not fly away,
Absolutely unable to deal with the pain,
Trying to find a way to just stay,
Unable to see light, just dark rain.
Taking time to be utterly alone,
Searching for solutions on the internet,
Wanting to deal with this all on my own,
All I needed was to forget.
In the end, I became happy, I became me.
I am finally free.
