May Flowers
Though late, spring has finally come to stay
The flowers outside have begun to bloom
The April showers brought blossoms of May
Now May shall pass quickly and lead to June
The cold turned mellow and brought new life forth
The rain melted away the ice and snow
Plants were nurtured by our precious resource
Take light, take water, and then start to grow
The greenery may wither in good time
But for now, they live on in the rich earth
Basking in bright and warm rays of sunshine
Proving their beauty and proving their worth
May flowers, so lovely and full of life
May they bring joy to bright days and dark nights
