Sonnet, with Soul
1. I like the sunlight, but not the night. 2. My soul burns bright, my heart beats with everlasting might. 3. Strong like Achilles yet tortured like Tantalus. 4. If God made this soul than why is this soul so broken? 5. In my mind the skies cry. 6. Armstrong walks on water on water playing his trumpet.7. And when the starry skies rise 8. And the sun falls so do I. 9. In a supernova of beauty and creativity 10. And when the dust settles my soul burns bright and a new star emerges.11. A star whose light matches the soul.12. The soul that with no fear embrace change and risk. 13. The soul that doesn’t believe the horizon is the limit but is a gateway for more possibilities. 14. The soul that long after the vessel is gone will leave a perpetual mark on the world.
