Romeo and Juliet - Sonnet From Prince Escalus’ Perspective
I try to represent the voice of law
To bringeth happiness and provide peace
War of the houses hath left me in awe
My power, lost causing peace to be ceased
A new entity hath taken thee throne
Unexpected yet powerful than force
It has hurt, causing some to be alone
Like a dark horse that hath taken its course
Love, more compelling than hate yet the same
A selfish love, giving psychotic thrills
In the death of dearests, love is to blame
As killers tend to know the ones they kill
The ones we know are who we should fear most
They know how to bring out ghosts once held close
