Rolling On
Here I am, once again
Willing myself to relive the pain
It feels like it was just yesterday
I understand this is the only way
I hear my body telling me to stop
It may seem quiet to you
But the silence is pulling out my eardrums
As I continue on my path
Taken away by this terrible aftermath
“Ugh” my wheelchair stuck on a rock-can mean he “can’t move forward”
This rocky road has turned into Iraq
The stress is building up, I cant-
So fatigued I begin to pant
Time after time I have to pretend
The memories don’t boil in my head
The Boston bombing on Boylson street
This road has sent me back in time
Sirens too loud to write this last rhym-
