They rise; they fall, ever so countlessly
In the heat of battle, they rise to fight
As one falls another takes his place
They charge the enemy while brothers fall
Bullets whiz by as they fearlessly die
When brothers die, others break down and cry
The amount that have fallen will not compare

The risen shall raised the flag of glory
They all cheer for their own victory
The fallen watch in silence at the flag
That their brothers have risen for them
When they get home families cry for joy
And sons and daughters mourn their deadly loss
They are brothers in battle

I was hoping to let people know what it is kind of like being a military brat and the stories our parents tell.
