When We Part #3
The wind whispers with your whimsical voice
Why isn’t your body anywhere near?
Other birds have made their return with cheer
So I ask if you’ve stayed away by choice
They all sing back songs instead of advice
Courage shatters, from the shadows comes fear
When I shiver, you promised to be here
Unwillingly, my heart turns to ice
I heard in the wind a beautiful song
A special melody made out to me
I see the seasons’ transition was late
The times spent apart, my thoughts have been wrong
Help me fix my heart, pick up the debris
It belongs to you, the result of fate
