The Unspoken
Start the car
Let’s get out of here
I told you to stop
Put down that beer
But yet I have the mark
The everlasting scar
I remember the old you
But now I don’t know who you are
You faked a personality
A person I would believe
But you are a monster
A concept no one else will conceive
They have to live this life
To understand my shoes
They don’t have this knowledge
The continuous bruise
And yet I will remain ceased
For they will figure it out
That you never loved me
Yourself, that’s all you cared about
Live in your shadow
I refuse that life
I escaped so quickly
Before you drew the knife
Stab my heart, you did
Metaphorically of course
And yet I’m a book
The only real source
They come at me with questions
Asking if the rumors are real
But I keep my mouth closed
My heart, that’s where the answers will conceal
