The Lunch Line
We all sit and wait for the bell to ring.
Then pack up or books and watch the clock tick.
We're all so happy when our lunch bells ding,
We all rush to the lunch room, hurry, quick!
You get there early, the line is still small.
Go to your table and drop off your book.
You see all the kids rushing from the hall,
They all jump on line, you're afraid to look.
The line is huge! And you're stuck at the end.
You will never get your lunch at this rate.
At least you are on line with your best friend.
But this one kid comes up, who is very late,
They jump to the front, how very unkind.
Because sadly you're now one more behind.
