Broken Smile
Morning’s sun brightly shined upon my face
The darkened clouds were nowhere to be found
The time was ticking fast I could not trace
I looked around, finding no other sound
Memories flooding back like yesterday
Thoughts of him corrupting my scattered brain
Chin up, smile, are words I always say
But breaking down’s what I try to refrain
Wondering what will happen tomorrow
I breathe in, try to clear my head and yet
I’m scared because I have such great sorrow
I think again of all the secrets kept
The words he spoke still ring inside my head
The painful lies he told are not yet dead

Even when you've found it you may still be hurt, but you have to accept that sometimes you can't change people and learning to smile even though they broken will only make you a stronger person.
