If I could talk only one short day more MAG
If I could talk only one short day more
what choice words would I use to speak to thee,
which lucky ones would pour upon your floor
and rightly make clear what is felt by me?
Should I start with a verb, the deepest one
that does run in our language and contains
only four concise letters and is done
quickly, yet for a long time it remains;
Or, perhaps, no words can do you justice,
I should ramble along, a normal day.
One day only lets me skim the surface,
so I suppose you must hear what I say.
The actual words do not much matter,
if you feel them above normal chatter
