What cruel time must take and steal away
When gravity simply causes our fall
What spiteful emotions will always sway
With greed and lust and life blinding this call
When petty words are a knife to my heart
When empty longing summons a tear
When everything hurts right from the start
When having but losing is my great fear
But time cannot vanquish this pure love
Trying emotions pale in its sheer light
Death cannot alter out most noble fight
When we clasp hands tightly and let it through
Nothing else matters
When Our love is true
