Calm Night
Everything gets calm at twilight.
The sun fades and the moon starts to show.
The stars will shine bright,
Through the night’s hazy glow.
The day will slowly fade to black
And living things will rest,
Even the alpha of the wolf pack;
But not the nocturnal, who like night best.
Slowly the sun begins to rise,
Waking up the rested creatures;
And all that are sleeping open their eyes,
To see the new dawn’s features.
Morning is knocking at the door;
And all traces of night are no more.
