Strumming Pleasure

Revealing the instrument from its case,
adjusting the strap to just the right height.
Tuning up with your buddy on the bass,
walking onto stage into the bright light.
Playing the right notes strumming up and down,
right alongside the rest of the great band.
Rhythm and notes pleasantly surround town,
pleasure fills the crowd as you are not bland.
The audience takes in the rest of the show,
pleased with your playing they drive to their home.
Smile letting your confidence grow,
remember how well you played at the dome.
Love to play music for all to listen,
you and your guitar will always glisten.
