Stumped
A tree that branched into my sullen world,
With roots that wrapped around my hurting heart.
The way you felt could never be unfurled,
you hid your feelings from the very start.
With many years that passed we were so close,
A special friend who always made me smile.
You were the one who sheltered me the most.
Then one sad day you put me on trial,
Our strong relationship began to leave,
and days and weeks went by without a call.
I lost your trust you left me here bereaved.
Although it's done. I'm sure I will not fall.
In years gone by you made this young heart jump,
Just why you left, will always leave me stumped.
