Affair
Words of wisdom, slipping through the air
Behind my eyes, a confused disguise
Thought it cannot be fair
And then alas, I can't but help to bid thee goodbye
Memory fades thy soul, as the body does the sun
Thought it cannot be said, the words I read
So soft but not quiet enough to run
Beyond the hill tops, my soul confessed
To you I ask for bread and drink
They people cry and shed their tears
Since the well-hole drains as does a sink
Because you're gone, we can't move on, we fear
Each day grows dark as you once knew
Lying, cheating, ignoring us like you always do.
