Day Shines Through
Have you ever looked outside your window,
Watching raindrops plummet to the cold ground,
Seeing all trees lean from the strong winds’ blow,
and the thunder drowning all other sound?
Have you ever had a terrible day,
Where it seems that everything has gone wrong,
Not looking forward to tomorrow’s gray,
Feeling as if there’s nowhere you belong?
Always remember that the day shines through
The dark gray clouds and the sorrow,
And while it won’t cure your emotional flu,
The light will raise your hopes for tomorrow.
Warmth is always around the next corner,
Keep hope, for spring will cure any mourner.
