To Rain
The kindly unrelenting raindrops fall
Onto your head, and trickle one by one
Along your hair, as tears they conjure fun
From the simplest task; that of above all
Stumbling on; and as they now embark
Onto your cheek, I sense a tiredness
Not just in them, but in whatever sense
Dictates that we could build a lover’s ark.
The drop is gone; its beauty lingers on
In the way you start to feebly smile.
The storm was weathered, safely as we were
Huddled together; penguins ‘fore the dawn,
A sense of pride; regardless all the while
Of how you stood, cocked to one side: So sure.

I enjoyed reading this. The personification is well done. Great job!
