The Truth That I Never Told
I stand and years pass and slips through my hand
I feel its weight and think of what it would say if it saw my face
So I turn away and stare back in the past where the truth hides
It’s deep and dark and buried out off sight
But like an invisible ghost it hunts me
Placing weight’s on my feet and covering my mouth so I cant speak
My mouth is not my own
It’s the grave yard of the truth
As it lays down it ghost hunts my soul
Wrapping me in chains from my head to my toes
I can’t move into the future
So I stand and look
At the life that my weight can’t hold
Because I stand bind in chains off the truth that I never told
