~To believe your own thought, to believe that what is true for you in your private heart is true for all men, that is genius. Speak your latant conviction, and it shall be the universal sense, for inmost in due time becomes the outmost~

Chestnut hair hiding eyes of silver steel
Unseen she walks alone
Talking to strangers who think she's not real
She is heard but somehow never is known

She answeres and answers, never asking
The questions that are thrown her way each day
With each rude remark, her mask is cracking
She pretends her life is a game she plays

Can't she be noticed just once as herself?
For the greatness she possesses within?
"Here I am" she thinks, "Unused on a shelf"
She keeps trying but somehow never wins

To answer phones is what her life must be
One day though, she'll be unplugged, and set free
