You, I, We, and Everything Else
You’d said you’d travel all around the world
You’d dreamed of making such beautiful things
You’d hoped that sickness in the world was cured
You’d wished that you could matter as a being
I thought I could soar high above the sky
I tried to reach for things above my head
I was bold, daring, and ready to fly
I believed in everything you said
We are both tumbling, face down on the dirt
We are both looking to see who has pushed
We’re trying to look away and hide the hurt
We are standing back up though all is crushed.
