Sonnet For Michael
That you are gorgeous it can't be denied.
I wish you hadn't made that tragic choice.
Because, my dear, if you had never died,
The music world would not have lost a voice.
When you were younger, you had angels' eyes.
They sparkled as you danced across the stage.
But then they dulled, and you became unwise.
The joy turned into sadness and to rage.
With troubles all around, you took your life,
Forgetful of your family and your friends.
You found a way to run from all the strife,
But left behind too great a hole to mend.
Goodbye, dear Michael H, I'll leave with this-
You'll never know just how much you were missed.
