Unsolved Feelings
I can’t help but ask where happiness lays
The wonder has destroyed my innocence
I hear noises around, the calm bright days
Thinking makes the person I am numb and tense
The pain is bound to eject my deep soul
It’s not depression, it’s just a mysterious crave
Perhaps it’s easy, perhaps it’s by the fire with coal
But it’s not depression, look around, be brave
I smile when there’s happiness, laugh when I can
I care and love, but for everyone; something burns
The endlessness the night sky carries, it’s there
Smile is the escape, a free mind, lessons we learn
No matter the scene, the weather, or time of day
I can’t help but ask where happiness lays
