Going Mad
Weeks, she had been lost in this timberland,
She was losing her mind and hopes of home,
When, she saw a shadow and ghostly hand,
She reached out, but only touched dark brown loam.
She hears a suspicious voice, turns and frowns,
A demon-like figure was standing there,
The demon told her, “Look for one who drowns.”
She went, and stepped out into open air.
Before her stood a raging waterfall,
Drowning was a boy only she could see,
She jumped in to save him and could not stall,
The boy struggled, the demon laughed in glee.
But as she got near, the boy disappeared,
Waves pulled her in; to her death she was steered.
