Night, don't ever let me go
To stray away from golden locks,
Return to our entropic lay,
To throw some rosebuds at the clocks,
Let be what is and come what may.
So be the lover golden-hatted
With eyes and hair all therein matted;
Cry out upon a rooftop to a knell
Through ether fairest, ether fell.
Flow through the city's arteries,
For you are youth and blood alight:
So dampen mope, and hope ignite,
And follow moments' fleeting tease.
Ephemeral ends away me so:
Oh night, don't ever let me go!
