Fedora sewn of Cloud
Let sunlight spring as I from bed,
Brace on the world's hiding shroud.
I stride through fields, atop my head
A light fedora sewn of cloud.
Don't get me right, I love the wrong,
The moment dumb and hedonistic,
Not laid out to a fated song:
To win or lose it all, to risk it.
Still hang on to forget-me-nots,
Sweet roses from when hearts were warmer,
And to them ever turn your thoughts,
Till new times come, succeed the former.
But harvest youth as days go by,
And bask in wheat fields, come through rye.
