The Storyteller
How swiftly turn the pages of this book
Among those who enjoy wisdom and a hush
In a quiet and a solitary nook
It brings to life a world of green and lush
Where you climb mountains to the silvery moon
Where you sing praises of the heroes lost
And love the brave of whom the skylarks swoon
And discover that living lacks a cost
I go into this traveled world each day
When fate comes knocking on my chosen door
I never want to go just want to stay
Life can bring you a load of so much more
This is why I read the aged and worn
I have no time to cry or deeply mourn
