The bus ride there was unbearably long
Music in my ears, yet I still grew tired
Thoughts filled my mind as I ignored the song
Of being losers, so unadmired
Then the buzzer sounded and we began
They came out hot and we were in a hole
Up and down the floor, we hopelessly ran
We were struggling, the team as a whole
This was new, we did not know what to do
Undefeated, for our wins we had fought
With seconds to go, we were down by two
The play was for me, I would shoot the shot
With the game on the line, I made one wish
Sure enough came true when the ball went swish

This sonnet is written about my buzzer-beating shot to maintain an undefeated season. My high school team finished 21-0.
