I did not perceive what was going on,
Just realized when the silver pierced my skin.
More amounts of red have never been drawn.
Hopelessly grasping for life due to sin.
Inside of thy mouth was fixed the barrel,
Hammer cocked but the trigger never tugged.
Suddenly realized thou were in peril,
What was left of me was hastily hugged.
No meaning of this to bring harm to thee,
Keep closed in the eye of guilt no longer.
Chains be lifted as I grant you the key.
Declined pain allows thy soul be stronger.
I word that lasting now and hereafter,
Thou art forgiven, evil shall scatter.

This was a poem i wrote to represent forgiveness... No matter how strong the act (even murder), forgiveness is always possible.
