She Is Waiting
She is sitting on that bench there, waiting
Golden hair, crystal eyes; their courage dead
Days and night gone, the time begins weighting
Stuck in place; no ground for her feet to tread
Time passes, young, old; soul deflating
Drank she, the Elixir of Life; frozen glow
Emotions unseen, wet tears translating
Tis memory, the hand of time bestow
Dancing begins; a man reaches out, sway
She cannot take it; still waiting within
Glimpse the tempest; still the façade must stay
Decisions, decisions, the time has dawn
Her everlasting patience is gone
