Mommy
The door was still locked and so was her heart
I was outside waiting to be let in
They were united and I was apart
And this was a fight that I couldn't win
Scared at night so I would run to her bed
But there he was in my spot next to her
Why couldn't I get that into my head?
He was before me, she made me feel sure
I begged for ways to get her attention
Yet again there he was, taking my place
All I wanted was love, some affection
But I sat outside with tears on my face
Mommy! Mommy! Do you have more to hide?
Mommy! Mommy! May I please come inside?
